Report: Reds 4-3 Carmarthen Town

The Reds came from two goals behind to clinch a huge win against Carmarthen Town at home.
An opening goal from Sam Johnson was cancelled out by a hattrick from Liam Thomas. However, goals from Sean Cronin, Adam Robbins and Josh Allen saw the Reds come from 3-1 down to secure a huge 4-3 win.
An end to end start to the game saw the Reds pile on some early pressure with a few chances on goal. David Lyon tried his luck with a shot from range.
The conditions were certainly playing their part during the opening spells in the game. It was the Reds who managed to battle on and score the opener.
A corner hitting the woodwork before falling to Johnson who slots home with a great finish.
Scott Coughlan was then called into action making a great save.
Carmarthen were then awarded a penalty which was converted by Thomas.
The visitors came out firing in the second half, Thomas was allowed through on goal. The forward slotted him comfortably.
Another penalty for the visitors saw Thomas complete his hattrick. The Reds weren’t finished and got one back thanks to Cronin’s continued pressure.
Robbins then got the Reds level, a bundle from another set piece helped draw us level.
It was then the substitute Allen who got on the end of a loose ball in the box to net the winner.
